Reverend Nathaniel Cole

Possessing guilt for his troubled past, Reverend Cole reverts to preaching the value of faith through his church while attempting to establish peace with the Cheyenne. Unable to combat his addiction to alcohol, Cole ultimately loses everything and joins forces with the Swede. He takes in Joseph Black Moon as a mentor. The arrival of his daughter, Ruth, provides a catalyst in his progressive downfall.
